Add DoubtCalc to your phone or desktop

You can add DoubtCalc to your home screen or desktop and use it like a regular app. It loads fast, works offline for recently visited calculators, and you will not need to open your browser or search for the site each time. No app store download required.

🍎

iPhone and iPad (Safari)

1

Open DoubtCalc in Safari

This only works in Safari. If you are using Chrome or another browser on your iPhone, copy the URL and paste it into Safari first. Apple does not allow other browsers to add websites to the home screen.

2

Tap the Share button

Look for the square icon with an arrow pointing up. On iPhone it is at the bottom center of the screen. On iPad it is at the top right near the address bar.

3

Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"

You may need to scroll down in the share menu to find this option. It is not always visible without scrolling. If you do not see it, scroll past the row of app icons and look for it in the list below.

4

Tap "Add" in the top right corner

You can rename it if you want, but "DoubtCalc" will be filled in automatically. Tap Add and the icon will appear on your home screen.

Can't find "Add to Home Screen"? On newer versions of iOS, you may need to tap "Edit Actions" at the bottom of the share menu and add "Add to Home Screen" to your favorites first. Apple sometimes hides this option by default.

Android (Chrome)

1

Open DoubtCalc in Chrome

Chrome works best for this on Android. Samsung Internet and other browsers also support it, but the steps may be slightly different.

2

Tap the three-dot menu

Look for the three vertical dots in the top right corner of Chrome. Tap them to open the browser menu.

3

Tap "Add to Home screen" or "Install app"

Chrome may show either option depending on your Android version. Both do the same thing. If you see "Install app," that means Chrome detected the site as a web app and will give you an even better experience.

4

Tap "Add" or "Install"

Confirm the name and tap the button. The DoubtCalc icon will appear on your home screen and in your app drawer.

Bonus on Android: Chrome may automatically prompt you to install DoubtCalc as an app with a banner at the bottom of the screen. If you see that banner, just tap "Install" and you are done.

💻

Desktop (Chrome, Edge, or Brave)

1

Open DoubtCalc in Chrome, Edge, or Brave

These browsers support installing web apps on your computer. Firefox and Safari on desktop do not currently support this feature.

2

Look for the install icon in the address bar

In Chrome, you will see a small monitor icon with a download arrow on the right side of the address bar. In Edge, look for a similar icon or the "App available" prompt. You can also click the three-dot menu and look for "Install DoubtCalc" or "Save and share" then "Install page as app."

3

Click "Install"

A confirmation dialog will appear. Click Install and DoubtCalc will open in its own window without browser tabs or toolbars. A shortcut will be added to your desktop and your Start menu (Windows) or Applications folder (Mac).

To uninstall later: Open the installed app, click the three-dot menu in the title bar, and select "Uninstall DoubtCalc." Or right-click the shortcut on your desktop and delete it.

Why add it to your home screen?

One tap access. Open DoubtCalc directly from your home screen without typing a URL or searching.

Full screen experience. The site opens without browser toolbars taking up space, so you get more room for the calculator.

No download needed. Nothing to install from the App Store or Google Play. No storage space used. No updates to manage.

Always up to date. Every time you open it, you get the latest calculators and features automatically.
